The Indian River & Mosquito Lagoon are a sight-fisherman’s dream come true, with expansive shallow flats. These pristine estuaries are a short drive from Orlando, Fl. Located just 45 minutes east of Orlando International Airport, 1 hour south of Daytona International Speedway and 45 minutes north of world famous Cocoa Beach, lies the city of Titusville, which rests in the shadows of Kennedy Space Center. It is from here that Capt. Mark offers guided light tackle inshore sport-fishing trips for redfish and trout all year. Inshore fishing for tarpon, snook, jacks, ladyfish and black drum are also available on a seasonal basis.
The awe and inspiration of the Mosquito Lagoon and the Indian River Lagoon is health food for the soul. Bottlenose dolphin, manatees and alligators often swim with us as wading birds stalk the shorelines and pelicans and seagulls fly by or dive around us. While the fishing may be the highlight of your trip the wildlife will be an incredible bonus!
For those of you looking to target larger game fish Capt. Mark also offers near shore trips. The beaches off of Cocoa Beach offer a wide variety of seasonal game fish. Kingfish, tarpon, cobia, and triple tail are just some of the hard fighting varieties available. All near shore trips leave out of Port Canaveral which is just a short 40 minute drive from Orlando, FL.
Fishing trips may be custom tailored to YOUR needs or preferences and skill levels. The use of live or natural baits as well as artificial lures will be employed as necessary or at the Client’s request. Capt. Mark will do “whatever it takes” to put fish in the boat for his diehard clients. If kicking back and letting the fish come to you is more your style Capt. Mark can tailor your trip to that laid back attitude.
For those who truly want to learn the ropes of flats fishing, instructional charters are offered. Here, emphasis is placed on the teachings of flats fishing rather than the catching. This will effectively shave years off of the learning curve of the trial and error method of becoming an accomplished angler!
