El Leoncito started in 1977 as a small restaurant in Whittier, California serving Mexican food exclusively. Cuban food was added later in 1995 when the restaurant was relocated to Titusville, Florida. The combination of Mexican and Cuban food was accepted well and has proven to be a success since.

The Sanchez family has been working nonstop now for over 18 years in Titusville with more than 32 years of experience overall. Head Chef Antonio Hernandez has more than 30 years of experience and has worked for El Leoncito since the opening in Whittier, California.

El Leoncito is located across from the Indian River which allows many guests to enjoy the river's pristine view from the dining area. The restaurant's inviting exterior and interior projects the culture of Mexico and Cuba with vibrant colors and beautiful decor.

As special thanks to El Leoncito's guests, a live mariachi band is featured every last Tuesday of the month from 6pm to 9pm. This band is fun for the whole family and is an experience to remember.
