A big thank you to Osceola Middle School's Adam Hanson Youth Philanthropy in Action program for selecting Better Together as their nonprofit of choice! 💜 A group of YPIA students recently presented a check to help support our mission to empower families and prevent the need for foster care. YPIA is a philanthropy education program provided by Community Foundation Ocala Marion County. We're truly inspired by these young philanthropists! ☀️ #BetterTogether #YPIA

Hope is strong currency. Helping your neighbors find work is living the word of Christ, Pastor Thabiti Anyabwile writes in a blog for The Gospel Coalition, and in hosting a Better Together second chances job fair, the congregation of Anacostia River Church in southeast Washington, DC discovered they’re providing more than jobs. They’re giving hope. “In conversation after conversation as people left the job fair we discovered something far deeper than a job fair had taken place,” he writes. “People were lifted. Hearts were strengthened. Attenders found encouragement even if they had not found a job. Hope was stirred.” Churches looking for a hope-filled ministry that serves Christ and helps vulnerable people flourish are encouraged to join our ranks: https://lnkd.in/gX5XeeQe. #NWDSC #SecondChances #SecondChanceMonth #BetterTogether Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/e-Y86SrB
