The Downtown Art Gallery is proud to announce a special exhibition and reception celebrating Mariana Ojeda, the 2025 North Brevard Art League Scholarship recipient and a gifted emerging artist.
A recent graduate of Edgewood Jr/Sr High School, Mariana has distinguished herself through exceptional creativity, and award-winning work in traditional and digital media. Her exhibit will be on view at Downtown Art Gallery from August 9 through August 30, with a public reception in her honor on Friday, August 22, from 5 to 8 PM.
This vibrant young artist began her journey at Sculptor Elementary under the guidance of art instructor Michelle Akimenko, who later mentored her ambitious senior project: the creation of a full-scale mural at her alma mater. Mariana has gone on to receive numerous accolades, including honors from the Scholastic Art Awards and the Florida Junior Classical League.
Mariana currently finds her passion in digital art and character design, with plans to major in Studio Art at the University of Central Florida. Her dream is to pursue a career in comic illustration—breathing life into stories through color, expression, and imagination.
The North Brevard Art League, a nonprofit organization, is committed to supporting local artists and fostering creativity in the community. Its scholarship program, an annual award to a graduating North Brevard senior, is made possible through the generosity of supporters like the Parrish Medical Foundation and other community donors.
The Downtown Art Gallery, located at 400 Orange Street in Titusville’s historic district, is open Monday through Friday, 11 AM–5 PM, and Saturdays, 11 AM–3 PM. For more information, call 321-268-0122, find them on social media or visit:www.thedowntownartgallery.com
