Join us for Aviation Weekend! Did you know that NASA builds airplanes? NASA’s Quesst team is on a daring mission to minimize the volume of sonic booms caused by supersonic flight, and is determined to change the scene in supersonic flights over land in the United States. Throughout the weekend, meet with aviation experts from Central Florida Chapter of Women in Aviation Int will be meeting and greeting on the bottom floor of Space Shuttle Atlantis. Don’t miss Tales from the Flight Deck as astronauts and pilots join a special panel discussion as they talk about their careers in the aviation industry. Guests will be able to ask them questions and will be available for photo ops post panel discussions.
Celebrate Aviation Weekend under one of the most famous gliders in history – the Space Shuttle! Beneath the tiles of Space Shuttle Atlantis lies the Atlantis Aviation Center. Meet with engineers, designers, and pilots, color your own NASA aircraft, and stop by our photo booth to get your very own pilot picture! Are you a fan of the Blue Angels? From August 1 – 8 you’ll be able to see Blue Angels 3D in IMAX daily. Check the daily schedule for show times.
End of the season block party with our favorite DJ. He will have his mobile DJ kiosk that’s solar powered in front of Atlantis all weekend from noon to 4 pm. We will also host our fun activity area that will include mini golf, corn hole and four in a row game.
